Vinyl liners can last up to 25 years depending on environmental conditions such as: water chemistry, sun exposure and pool structure. However, in most cases the average liner will last 10-15 years and may be replaced earlier for esthetic reasons.
The following information will help you understand the liner replacement process and associated costs.
Why to Replace Your Liner
The best reason to replace an old vinyl liner is to prevent water loss. As the liner ages, the vinyl becomes brittle and can easily crack. The corners will start to show holes first, especially in the corners with the most sun exposure.
Once you start to identify a water loss problem and small holes become an ongoing issue the problem needs to be handled right away. In the Winter you risk cracking and shifting the concrete floor (extremely costly repair). In the Summer you risk advanced corrosion of your steel wall panels. Ideally, you will replace the liner once it starts to look less appealing; a form a preventing long term headaches associated with water loss.
New Ultra Seam Technology
Some good news is that starting in 2013 we will be supplying liners that offer the new Ultra Seam technology that removes all visible floor seams. There is NO extra cost associated with this feature and your new liner is guaranteed to look 10 times better than the liner you are replacing.
We also carry a wide range of 30 gauge patterns. You can visit: www.kafko.com to see some sample patterns. We will supply you with an up-to-date swatch of patterns to you so that you can make a confident decision.

New Safety Covers
Swimming Pool Safety Covers are designed to protect both your pool and your family. They are manufactured to the specific size and shape of your backyard swimming pool. Properly installed, the Pool Safety Cover will help prevent accidental intrusion by people and pets.
Each safety cover is painstakingly engineered to be the best. After deconstructing all of the major safety covers on the market, our manufacturer has built theirs better and stronger than anything on the market today. They also exceed all mandatory safety cover regulations.
Pool safety covers are intended to be used when the pool is not in use for a long period of time or during the off-season.
Our Brands: Latham Pool Products & Kafko Pool Products
The two brands are virtually the same product aside from the names they have assigned the four different types of covers.
Supreme Mesh (ProTex) is the option which balances durability and minimal sun penetration.
DuraWeave (LitePro) is the most light weight option which allows for easy removal and storage.
Maxi-Mesh (Bio-Shade) is the most popular option and carries the best value. It is also available in 4 colours.
Super-Scrim (Heavy-Duty Solid) is a full weight, solid cover that will only let water pass through it.
We highly suggest that you visit the Kafko website to gather specific technical information about the safety cover system.
